The foundation of the school dates back to 1819. The school was re-built and enlarged in 1834, 2000, 2005 and 2007. Further refurbishments were completed in 2011.

The school comprises four classrooms, a computer suite, one school hall, an office used by the Head, a reception office used by the administrator, workroom and staffroom. There is a large playground to the rear of the school with a new stage area. There are steps that lead down to the wilderness play area and the recreation ground, which is used for sports.

Our Ethos Statement

Masham Church of England Primary School aims to offer the children of this neighbourhood all-round excellence in education. We will develop and nurture the full academic, social, moral, spiritual and physical potential of each pupil and staff member in a safe, secure and caring environment.

Christian values are built into the ethos and teaching, and although the school exerts no pressure to believe, it will give a high priority to strong links between home, school and parish.
